Séminaire doctoralCARING for disABILITY 6th disABILITY MUNDUS doctoral school July 1-4, 2018 Université Catholique de Lille Lille, France
This year’s doctoral school, Caring for disAbility, is linked to the 7th Annual Conference of ALTER-ESDR’s theme: ‘Transforming Practices and Knowledge through the Lens of Disability: Experiences, Transmissions, Training, Organizations’. It is also linked to disABILITY MUNDUS a group of European academics and universities who are actively engaged in and support scholarly research on disAbility. Our focus, caring for disAbility, is about questioning society through the various ways that disability is cared for both formally and informally. We take the position that caring for disability is highly complex, and as such, we explore caring in a variety of different ways. We invite participants who have completed at least one year of their PhD program and are in the process of researching issues in disability through education, nursing, policy, linguistics, family studies, design, material culture, medicine, technology and more.
To attend Caring for disAbility please send a 500 word abstract to prof. dr. Megan Strickfaden at megan.strickfaden@ualberta.ca by 1st june, 2018 The abstract must have the following:
